Uralmash will make reconstruction of stretch straightening machine for Kamensk Uralskiy metallurgical works

Metallurgical works concludes a contract of reconstruction of stretch straightening machine with force 5000 kN for Kamensk Uralskiy metallurgical works. This contract provides design of reconstruction, procurement (app. 70 ton) and follow-on for starting-up and adjustment. The scheduled term of the installation is April 2010.
Stretch straightening machine is part of profile and panel pressing line on basis of press (force 120 МN) and intended for stretch flattening of wrought alloy solid and hollow products with cross-section area up to 200 см2. At first this shape is used for production of modern railway cars for high-speed trains.
Due to the modernization the nomenclature will extend, the quality of products and the line speed will improve. So due to reconstruction the length of output profiles will be increased from 14 to 34 metres. The machine will be supplied with devices for elimination of lengthwise curvature and for control of deformation degree under stretching.
At present Uralmashzavod is working on another contract for KUMZ according to the modernization of vertical hydraulic forming press (force 300MN) and two conveyor ovens №4 and №5.
Kamensk Uralskiy metallurgical works produces aluminium and aluminum alloy ingots, flat sections, profiles, welded pipes, presswork, rods, wire, different configuration pressed parts, disks for car and trucks, refrigerator heat exchangers, painted profiles and constructions, channeled sheets. At present the great part of products of this factory is produced for export. Aluminium semi-manufactured goods are esported to 46 countries (Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa, Oceania).
